Eirik Skiftenes (2021)

Every night since June 2020, 10-year-old Norwegian Eirik Skiftenes has been doing something few others do (especially 10-year-olds). Eirik has been sleeping outside in a hammock on the porch by himself. He has faced some challenges of sleeping outside, such as cold weather and mosquito bites. This has not, however, stopped Eirik! Instead, he has dressed in warm winter clothing and covered his hammock in mosquito nets.

The young Norwegian wants to continue sleeping outside and says that “nothing is better than a night out in fresh air”. Listen to Eirik talk about the idea of sleeping outside!
