Partner Coordinator
Being a TEDxArendal partner is not like any other sponsorship. We provide our partners with an opportunity to do something different and encourage our partners to join us on this journey. We work side by side with our partners and share a common goal to make the most of our partnership both for our TEDxArendal event and for our partner and their employees. These are projects that we’re investing in together. As a Partner Coordinator you get to be involved with our partners and help them make the most of their partnership with TEDxArendal – both before, during and after the event.
Good to know: This role will require you to join our Concept Team for bi-weekly planning meetings from mid-August and in the weeks leading up to TEDxArendal on November 1. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.

Graphic Designer
As TEDxArendals Graphic Designer, you will influence the overall impression of the event venue areas and plans as well as the speaker slides, posters, program, promotional material, tags and apparel. You will work closely with our Head of Communications, Marketing & Media. Cooperation with the Head of Production as required. To fulfil this role, you must have the required editing tools available as well as experience with the tools. Experience or a strong motivation to use this as your stepping stone into a marketing role is preferred.
Good to know: This role will require you to join our Communications, Marketing & Media Team immediately.

Content, Marketing & Media Crew
As part of our Content, Marketing & Media Crew you will, as a team, be responsible for promoting TEDxArendal to the public. You will plan and execute marketing campaigns and make sure we have a strong online presence. Tasks will include website content, blog and social media accounts. You will work closely with our Head of Communications, Marketing & Media as well as build and maintain a great relationship with communication donors, newspapers and press to publish articles. To fulfil this role, experience from Marketing or a strong motivation to use this as your stepping stone into a marketing role is preferred.
Good to know: This role will require you to join our Communications, Marketing & Media Team immediately.

Lounge Coordinator
Our T – E – D Lounges are showcase rooms where our partners and innovative companies get to showcase their newest inventions in Technology, Entertainment and Design on the market. You will not see any boring roll-ups or beach flags, but get to know the solutions and the stories as our presenters take on functions in the Lounge & Venue sessions. As a Technology, Entertainment or Design Lounge Coordinator you are responsible for the coordination of the Lounge Crew in your Lounge in the period leading up to, and during the TEDxArendal event on November 1. This will be in close cooperation with our TEDxArendal Head of Lounge & Venue.
Good to know: We are looking for three coordinators to coordinate one Lounge each. This role will require you to join our Concept Team for bi-weekly planning meetings from mid-September and in the weeks leading up to TEDxArendal on November 1. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.

Lounge & Venue Crew
Join our Lounge & Venue Crew and take part in creating a magical experience for our TEDxArendal guests on November 1. As part of our Lounge & Venue Crew you will work with a crew of 20 fantastic crew members completing various tasks such as welcoming, helping and guiding our guests, handing out tickets, serving food & beverages, organizing the different lounges and venues, and all other ad-hoc tasks that might come your way. You are service-minded, hands-on, “a doer” and solution-oriented.
Good to know: This role will require you to join Crew-information meetings in June and September as well as some planning meeting with your Crew Team Leader. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.

Speaker & Artist Support Coordinator
As Team Leader for the Speaker & Artist Support Crew you plan, execute and oversee the organization of the Speaker & Artist Support Crew. This include being in contact with all speakers and artists (or their managers/contact persons) to make sure we know their schedule and needs in advance. You are a structured, service-minded people person who likes to plan and see your plan come to life. If you find the time to handle two roles, you are also welcome to be a Speaker or Artist contact for one or more speakers.
Good to know: This role will require you to join our Program Team for bi-weekly planning meetings from mid-September and in the weeks leading up to TEDxArendal on November 1. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.

Speaker & Artist Support Crew
As Speaker & Artist Support it’s your responsibility to make sure the speaker or artist you are a contact point for feels welcome. You will be appointed one or several speakers or artists and be his or her contact point throughout their entire stay in Arendal. Tasks might include making sure important information is available, help in finding the hotel, making sure the speaker or artist are on time for rehearsals at Kulturhuset and anything else that our speakers and artists might forget or need help with in the time leading up to their TEDxArendal talk and/or performance on November 1. You are a service-minded person and a people person. You respect the speaker and artists’ need for privacy, but at the same time you understand when it’s time to make contact.
Good to know: This role will require you to join Crew-information meetings in June and September as well as some planning meetings with your Crew Team Leader. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.

Speaker Chauffeurs
Our fantastic speakers and artists will be arriving at Kristiansand airport in the days leading up to the TEDxArendal 2019 event. To assure a comfortable arrival, we need great chauffeurs to transport them from Kristiansand to Arendal in the days before the event and the day after (week 44, 2019). If you are service-minded, love to spend time on the road and have a great time small talking with interesting people, you are one of the TEDxArendal chauffeurs we are looking for. As a Speaker Chauffeur you will be part of the Speaker Contact Crew. We will of course provide the car unless you feel more comfortable using your own (expenses paid).

Rig & Preparation Crew
In the days leading up to TEDxArendal 2019 we will be transforming Arendal Kulturhus into our TEDxArendal Event Venue. We need all types of creative and solution-oriented people. Everyone from the strong carriers who know how to use a hammer to the dexterous to help with decorations, communications material, nametags, goodie bags and other minor details that make great impact. Together we will create a unique TEDxArendal experience for our guests.
Good to know: This role will require you to join Crew-information meetings in June and September as well as some planning meeting with your Crew leader.
You must be available in week 44 with a minimum of the afternoon on October 30 and 31. This role is perfect to combine with other roles with tasks on November 1.

Video & Photo Crew Coordinator
In this role you have the important task of planning, executing and overseeing the video and photo production of the event – managing photo, audio and video needs & camera operators, all in close cooperation with the Head of Communications, Marketing & Media and the Head of Production. You will lead the Video & Photo Crew in the important task of documenting everything that happens during our TEDxArendal event on November 1.
Good to know: This role will require you to join our Communications, Marketing & Media Crew for bi-weekly planning meetings from mid-September and in the weeks leading up to TEDxArendal on November 1. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.

Video creators

As a Video creator you will be working closely with our Video coordinators from Batfish. As a video creator it is your job to create video-content that create engagement online. The video you create will help build the TEDxArendal brand. If you are looking to build your portfolio, and thrive in a hectic environment, this is a position that will suit you.

Demands:

Your own camera with minimum 1080p, you should be familiar with your own device. Your own computer with editing software such as Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro

Video Editing Chief
Video editing is a critical piece of our TEDxArendal event. The videos of our speakers’ TEDxArendal Talks are important both for our speakers and us, as they are our event’s major takeaway to share with the rest of the world. Needless to say, we want a good final product. To fulfil this role, you must have the required video editing tools available. You must also have experience with the tools. Documented experience (professional or otherwise) is required. This role may also fulfil a role as a step in building your portfolio.
Good to know: We are required to upload our TEDxArendal Talks by the end of November. It is therefore important that you are available for this job during November 2019. This role will require you to join our Video & Photo Crew for planning meetings from mid-September and in the weeks leading up to TEDxArendal on November 1. You must be available on October 30 and 31 (afternoon), and during the whole event on November 1.
