All you need to know about TEDxArendal 2021
How do I get to Arendal?
If you arrive by car there are several options for parking. These options include Pollen P-Hus, or Torvet P-Hus. There should be plenty of space!
If you are traveling from Kristiansand, and bus is your preferred form of transportation, you can take the 100/100D bus to Arendal. This leaves from platform 7, at Kristiansand Rutebilstasjon. To arrive in Arendal by 12:30, you need to take either the 100 bus that leaves at 10:15, or the 100 bus that leaves at 10:45. To order tickets or more information on bus routes, visit https://www.akt.no/reiseplanlegger/ or download the AKT app through the Play Store or Apple Store
Departing from Grimstad, the 100/100D bus is still an option. The bus stops at Odden, and departs 11:15 and 11:45.

When and where?
When and where will the event take place?
The event will be at Kulturhuset in Arendal. The address is Sam Eydes Plass 2, 4836 Arendal. All the talks will take place in Store Torungen, while there will be other experiences in the foyer, Bystyresalen, and Lille Torungen. We have something special planned this year, which we are really excited to share with all of you!
Registration starts at 11:30, and the first session starts at 13:00. It is very important that you are on time. Once the session starts the doors will be closed. This is due to the camera production. You will have to wait until the next session to get into the main venue. However, you will be able to view a direct feed from BiblioTED.
The schedule for the event can be found at https://www.tedxarendal.com/schedule/. There you will find more information about the different experiences we offer this year. You will also receive a nametag with extra information and the schedule for November 5th!
Where can I get my nametag, and what is next?
When you arrive at Kultuhuset you will exchange your ticket and receive a name
With your nametag around your neck, you can enter Kulturhuset to take part in our curated experiences. There is also a cool little blue adventure waiting for you in Lille Torungen!
TEDxArendal has free seating. Therefore it might be confusing that you have a specific row and seat number on your ticket. We apologize for this potential confusion. We want to have free-seating due to the camera production, and because we don’t want people going over each other. We also don’t want open seats in the middle of the venue.
When and where can I get something to eat?
When it comes to dinner time (16.00), you will have chosen a restaurant in advance that you will be eating at. Dinner is part of your ticket, but you have to pay for the drinks.
You will receive an email in advance to book a restaurant. The restaurants you can choose from is: Café Victor, Mønsj, Symposium, No. 1 Sports bar, Castelle, Mør Biffhus, Madam Reiersen, Flavours of India, Lille Andungen, Lille Andevinge, Egon. Make sure you coordinate with your friends, on who is dining where.
There will also be some snacks and coffee at the venue in the experience sessions. Note: There is no lunch served at TEDxArendal, so make sure you grab something to eat before arriving.
I need to leave early….
If you have to leave early, then please put your nametag/ticket at the reception, or give it to one of the volunteers. We are very sad to see you go but want to give interested listeners the opportunity to see a session. But remember that we put all of our talks up on YouTube 4 weeks after the event.
